Mepo8 only collects the data genuinely needed to run the service. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

When you register with email, we store your email and a bcrypt-hashed password — we never store your password in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email/name/avatar from Google within the scope you approve.
We record your IP address and an anonymous device "fingerprint" at registration/login, solely to detect mass account creation or free-credit abuse — never to track you across other websites.
Checker (free): we only store a SHA-256 hash of your text for de-duplication — never the original content you paste.
Paid tools (Humanize, Paraphrase, Grammar, Translate): your text is temporarily stored to process the request and return your result (Humanize in particular runs as an async job, which requires temporary storage), and is sent to a third-party AI processor (see section 3) to generate the output.
Credit transaction history and, once payment top-ups are enabled, payment information via a third-party payment gateway.
Login session, CSRF protection, and display-language preference cookies — required for the site to function and cannot be disabled.
If you use the FREE plan, our advertising partner (currently Monetag) may set cookies / run scripts to serve ads. PAID accounts (Starter/Pro/Team) see no ads and are not subject to these cookies.
We share only the minimum data needed with the following parties, solely to operate the feature you're using:
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting the support email below — there is currently no self-service delete button in the UI.
Administrators may temporarily disable accounts that violate our terms of use or show signs of abuse.
We may update this policy as we add new features or change data processors. The most recent update date is always shown at the top of this page.
